    Proms in the Playground

    Dear Parents and Carers,

The eagerly anticipated Proms in the Playground is here again for another year! Each Year group from Reception to Year 6 will perform a Disney song on Tuesday 18th July. We would love you to come and support your child, the side pupil entrance will be opened at 1:15pm.  And closed at 1:30pm. Please feel free to bring refreshments with you to enjoy whilst the performance is going on (no glass or alcohol). Unfortunately chairs cannot be provided, please feel free to bring your own and be aware of the designated area for chairs (please see attached map). The show will run slightly differently to last year; the classes will be called out one at a time to perform and then they will return to their classrooms. You can collect your child from their class as normal at the end of the day at the normal times.

Our nursery children are indeed taking part in their own version of a Proms in the Playground. This will immediately follow their sports’ day on the 14th July. Nursery parents, please see the Nursery Topic Plan for further details.

I am also delighted to inform you that we have a very professional sound system this year, thank you to the fabulous PTA for their support with funding this.

If you missed any of last year’s performances, they are available on our school website in the ‘events’ and ‘video diary’.

Finally, please take a moment to peruse the map attached. It will show you how we plan to organise the event, where the amenities are and sections for chairs and standing room for the audience.

In the event of wet weather, you will receive a Parentmail from the school either the day before or early on the day if we need to cancel (fingers crossed for some summer sunshine).

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. If you have any questions, please see your child’s class teacher.
