In order to ensure that learning continues, irrespective of lockdown or self-isolation, we have developed the following plan, which will be applied in the following instances:
- An individual is self-isolating because of a positive test within the household;
- A group of children are self-isolating because of a case of coronavirus in the bubble OR the school is in lock-down;
- A member of staff is unwell and unable to attend school;
Within our remote learning plans, teachers have set appropriate work for each child, which is closely aligned to our current curriculum. There will be a range of activities including recorded English and Maths lessons, Oak Academy/BBC lessons, project tasks and quizzes. All of the sites listed in the plans are free, however you may need to register.
Children will remain in contact with their class teacher through the use of Purple Mash, Google Classroom and the class email account. These will be used across Years 1 to 6 for interaction, assessment and feedback. There will also be a daily 'live-session' via Google Classroom.
Children who are vulnerable or are in need of access to a device will be supported by the school and this may include providing paper-based home learning packs. If your child is unable to access the online remote learning, please email their class teacher.
Children are expected to engage fully with home learning and parents/carers are expected to ensure that children complete their work daily and this will be monitored by the class teachers. However, if a child is ill they should not be expected to engage in home learning. If you are experiencing difficulties completing the work, please contact the class teacher.
We have sent home logins and passwords for the following platforms:
