    SEND Provision

At Lakeview we ensure that the learning needs of all pupils is met. For some children, who have difficulties with their learning, additional support needs to be implemented.

For those children identified as having 'Additional Needs', the teacher works alongside the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator) to produce an IEP (Individual Education Plan). This identifies the specific needs of the child and the actions that will be taken to address them. These are shared with parents and we look to work alongside the family to accelerate the pupil's learning.

Some children require more specialist involvement, in which case the SENDCo (with the agreement of parents) will seek to involve outside professional agencies.

We will always work with you to support you and your child in every way we can. At times pupils may access external support from one or more agencies. We actively seek and encourage partnerships with all professionals and work together to support pupils through fully inclusive practice. Key professionals who may be involved in your child’s care can be found in the 'A to Z' document below.
