Children and adults are at the heart of our school; our school is at the heart of our community.

School Vision

‘Our children are at the heart of our school; our school is at the heart of our community.’

School Vision

Our vision is for our children to achieve their potential and the best possible outcomes, through engagement in learning experiences which are delivered with the highest expectations every day.  Through great teaching, which instils inspiration, provides opportunity and enables choice we aim for our children to be successful and valued at every stage of their education and adult life.

ETHOS

By fostering a love of learning, celebrating all unique qualities and differences, we will ensure that every child knows they are valued and can succeed. As an inclusive school we believe in ‘Excellence for All’.

We believe that children should be immersed and challenged in their learning. We aim to provide the very best teaching and learning through opportunities that foster engagement, aspiration and success.

We work hard to continually deliver and develop a challenging and ambitious curriculum which is knowledge rich, and memorable.    We believe that all children should “be knowledgeable about the past and present to make sense of and secure the future.”

In preparing children for their future we enable them to flourish and discover new things that they can become interested in and passionate about; we play a part in creating the adults they will aspire to be.  This vision is at the heart of everything we do.

Our school values are our behaviours - for all and by all

Culture

We have a shared sense of purpose and put children at the centre of every decision we make.  Our children and our team thrive in an organisation which is transparent and visible and our intrinsic values are based on openness and honesty.

Good teachers come with a range of experiences, motivations, strengths and development areas.  As a team we aim to optimise experience and strengths for the benefit of everyone, whilst building motivation and developing practice to deliver outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.

The values underpin our culture:

Mutual trust, respect, support, challenge, honesty, transparency and commitment.

What it looks like in practice:

Children and adults work together to create solutions and solve problems which develop practice and improve our school.  Evaluation and feedback enables continual improvement of pupil outcomes and teaching practice.  Positive and inclusive parental engagement and communication.
